A Saturday with the new toy, My Olympus camera!

Woke up this morning, did nothing but just hang around in front of my laptop downloading some great songs and did some laundry. It was a good morning as i was all charged up for what's coming throughout the day. An exciting day indeed for me. I finally got my new camera which was a free gift from citibank to my parents. :) Pink Olympus FE-370!Cool indeed coz i only need to charge the battery for 2.5 hours which was just in time before i go out for a movie with my buddy who i call 'mak'.

Went to bukit jambul golf club with mum and had lunch there while dad was playing golf. I was a hot day at first but end up heavy rain for about an hour which was really good as the rain washed my car! :)
After lunch, mum and i headed for home. I got myself ready and went to pick my mak up at her house and off we head to Gurney Plaza to catch a movie. :)

The first few opening pics :) Mak and I :) isnt she simply lovely :)

Got to gurney plaza 2.15pm and headed straight to buy the movie tickets :) Got into the cinema and the shows goes on. We watched wolvarine. Bee Peng's Night :) @ Jade Palace Seafood Restaurant

There you go, another wedding :) Bee Peng is one of the senior at my working place and she is a down to earth person and even on her wedding day she is as crazy as ever. Went over to typ's house after work to have a short nap and then a quick shower and then went to fetch Audrey. As usual, we are late when we got to her house but thankfully we are not when we get to the restaurant.

It was all jam when we got there and was so worried whether there's parking space. We made a round through the main entrance and headed out and thank God, a strategic parking lot a short distance from the main entrance and it only costs RM2 on a saturday night.
The three of us got out of the car and headed to our yummy yummy dinner..:) It was a really noisy yet fun wedding dinner we had. Lots of laughter, lots of nice slow and fast moving songs both english and mandrin. I must say i was impressed with the band. They really have good vocals and they deserve something more than just singing in a wedding dinner!!!! :)
Didnt manage to capture much pictures for a camera whore like me as im out of camera!!! sob sob. So, below are some pictures captured using my lousy handphone :) Enjoy!

Our very own farewell dinner ....

Nas one of the nicest colleague and friend i'ved ever met in my life. I am so gratefull to have known her and became real pals with her. We both pretty much had a great journey of togetherness through the good and down times. She is the one who has always been there when i needed someone to talked to and to listen to. She is so down to earth that we can share just about anything. We talked, we crapped, we work together, we eat together, we sometimes goes to work together and have always laughed together. Her resignation is a great loss to the company but i am trully happy for her that she has found a better job. I wish her all the best in her new job. Below are the pictures we took while having dinner at sushi king :-

Im just gonna miss working with her so much!! Heart you my best friend!!!!

Changing Your Thoughts - taken from www.pickthebrain.com

One of the most helpful things you can do is to give all of your negative thoughts a reality check. For instance, if your partner has just ended a romantic relationship and you think that you will never be loved again, you can ask yourself, “What evidence do I have that I will never be loved again?” Since you’ve been in romantic relationships before this one, there should be no reason why you won’t find another partner who will love you when you are ready. In addition, you can think of all the friends and family members who still love you. In this way you can realize that you are committing the cognitive distortion of over-generalization because you are taking one event and magnifying it to apply to all situations.

Another way to battle cognitive distortions is to engage in reframing an event. Perhaps something negative happened to you, but you must ask yourself if anything positive came out of it. In the case of the end of a romantic relationship, you can tell yourself that you learned many new things from your ex-partner that have made you a much more interesting and well-rounded person and that you can bring this to your next relationship. If you can think along these lines, you might not feel as though you are at a dead end, but at the precipice of a new beginning.

Training your mind to challenge irrational thoughts and replace them with more accurate thinking is extremely difficult, particularly for people who suffer from depression. But the reward justifies the effort you will have to put into it. Instead of walking around feeling unhappy and that the world is out to get you, you’ll have a different outlook on life—one that will fill you with enthusiasm for the day at hand and not affect your mood when things don’t go exactly your way.
