My week in KL

Time flies..one moment ago i just reached KL and another moment, i'm back here in the island. Honestly, i'm glad that i'm back here. i must admit that i really had a great time in KL. Time with the family in KL was superb. Aunt Jeannie came from Perth to meet up with his son Ben and we had a big family gathering on Saturday night at the Hakka Restaurant down in the city of KL. Here are some pictures of the big thingie.

On Sunday, i was all tired and lazy to drag myself from bed due to the late nights. I had to wake up when mum and dad bragged me for breakfast. After breakfast, dad dropped me at the Asia Jaya LRT station and it was raining when i got there. So, adventures i am, i took the LRT to KL Central and when i got there, i had to walk over to the monorial station which is like 5 minutes walked from the KL central station. The rain wasnt that heavy that time when i got to KL city. You know what? The staff in the LRT station really got on my nerves. I asked her which is the nearest station to the Ritz and she told me the Imbi station. From there, i stop at the Imbi station and i had to walk bladdy 3 to 4 kms to the Ritz and under the rain! By the time i got there, i was all wet and i had to dry myself in Ben's room. His room for 4 or more months was really superbly big and comfortable.

That's the living room. just the living room!

Men VS Women Jokes

FINE

This is the word women use to end an argument when they feel they are right and you need to shut up. Never use "fine" to describe how a woman looks - this will cause you to have one of those arguments.

FIVE MINUTES

This is half an hour. It is equivalent to the five minutes that your football game is going to last before you take out the trash, so it's an even trade.

NOTHING

This means "something," and you should be on your toes. "Nothing" is usually used to describe the feeling a woman has of wanting to turn you inside out, upside down, and backwards. "Nothing" usually signifies an argument that will last "Five Minutes" and end with "Fine"

GO AHEAD (With Raised Eyebrows)

This is a dare. One that will result in a woman getting upset over "Nothing" and will end with the word "Fine"

GO AHEAD (Normal Eyebrows)

This means "I give up" or "do what you want because I don't care" You will get a "Raised Eyebrow Go Ahead" in just a few minutes, followed by "Nothing" and "Fine" and she will talk to you in about "Five Minutes" when she cools off.

LOUD SIGH

This is not actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A "Loud Sigh" means she thinks you are an idiot at that moment, and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you over "Nothing"

SOFT SIGH

Again, not a word, but a non-verbal statement. "Soft Sighs" mean that she is content. Your best bet is to not move or breathe, and she will stay content.

THAT'S OKAY

This is one of the most dangerous statements that a woman can make to a man. "That's Okay" means that she wants to think long and hard before paying you back for whatever it is that you have done. "That's Okay" is often used with the word "Fine" and in conjunction with a "Raised Eyebrow."

GO AHEAD!

At some point in the near future, you are going to be in some mighty big trouble.

PLEASE DO

This is not a statement, it is an offer. A woman is giving you the chance to come up with whatever excuse or reason you have for doing whatever it is that you have done. You have a fair chance with the truth, so be careful and you shouldn't get a "That's Okay"

THANKS

A woman is thanking you. Do not faint. Just say you're welcome.

THANKS A LOT

This is much different from "Thanks." A woman will say, "Thanks A Lot" when she is really ticked off at you. It signifies that you have offended her in some callous way, and will be followed by the "Loud Sigh." Be careful not to ask what is wrong after the "Loud Sigh," as she will only tell you "Nothing"

My Favourite Dogs :)

Seeing spots? They don't come any more "spotted" than this! Many have stopped to stare in awe of this gorgeous breed and it's famous spots! Well known for it's fire hall duties, and made very famous by Disney's 101 Dalmatians, this breed has been around for centuries.

Of Croatian descent, the Dalmatian is thought to have originated in Northern India, where the breed was used as a sentry to warn against invasion by neighboring Turkey. The breed traveled to Dalmatia, a region of Croatia located along the Adriatic Sea during the 16th Century, and has since become popular throughout Europe for herding livestock, guarding home and hearth, controlling vermin populations and even performing in circus acts! The breed has since found it's way into the hearts and homes of North Americans.

Naturally intelligent, energetic, athleticism, agile and graceful, the Dalmatian excels in agility, flyball, obedience, conformation, search and rescue and pet therapy, as well as making a loyal, affectionate and lively family companion.

Dalmatians puppies are born white, and develop their trademark black spots as they mature. Dalmatians are happy and well-behaved, provided they are given plenty of exercise and attention. They tend to be strong-willed and require obedience training and a firm hand from an early age. Dalmatians make great companions for those who like to run!

The Dalmatian is NOT the dog for everyone! Be sure to research the breed using the links below before making a decision to add this very special dog to your family. Ownership requires a strong commitment to training and exercising this very active and energetic breed. With the right training and exercise, the Dalmatian makes a wonderful all-round family dog and a great conversation piece!

Aren't these dogs just so cute and adorable????it's also one of my favourite dogs..i wish i will owned one next time..:) they are so so so so cuteeE!!!!

Health Mistakes

Regular Health Mistakes

All of us make little health mistakes that cause damage to our bodies in the long run - simply because we are unaware we are doing something wrong. Here are some of the most common mistakes made by many of us.

Crossing our legs

Do you cross your legs at your knees when sitting? Although we may believethat this is the lady-like elegant way to sit, sitting this way cuts downcirculation to your legs. If you don’t want varicose veins to mar the beautyof your legs and compromise your health, uncross your legs every time yourealise you have one knee on top of the other. The best way to sit is tosimply place both legs together on the floor, balancing your weight equally. If you feel like changing position, instead of crossing your legs, simplymove both legs together to one side. As an alternative, you could alsoconsider crossing your legs loosely at the ankles. This is a classicallyelegant way to sit, and is far better for your legs and your health thansitting with your legs crossed at your knees.

Not changing our toothbrush

How often do you change your toothbrush? Most of us wait until most of thebristles have either fallen off, or are in such bad shape that we’d be embarrassed to pull out our brush in public. However, since not many of us need to pull out our brush in public, we carry on with our frayed one until we lose it. Replace your toothbrush often. Damaged bristles can harm theenamel, and don’t massage your gums well. If you find brushing your teeth apain like I do, but know you must do it, you might as well be doing itright. Imagine going through the annoyance of brushing your teeth twice aday only to find out that you’re damaging your enamel every time you cleanyour teeth. Also, use a brush with soft bristles unless your dentist has advised otherwise.
Eating out oftenThere are oils that are high in cholesterol, and oils that cause little harmand are better for your heart. However, no matter how light the oil is, itis never a good idea to eat too much of it. Avoid fried foods. Remember that in all probability your favorite Indian food restaurant throws a huge, HUGE chunk of butter in a tiny bowl of dahl.Rita, who worked in the kitchen of a 5 star hotel, was shocked when she sawthe cook chop a 500gm butter slab in half, and throw half into a PaneerMakhani dish. No wonder the customers left licking their fingers. And nowonder they felt so stuffed and heavy afterwards. Limit outdoor eatingunless you know that you’re getting served light and healthy food.

Skipping breakfast

Never, ever skip breakfast. Remember, when you wake up in the morning it’sbeen around 10-12 hours since your last meal. Your body needs food now, morethan at any other time. Eat a heavy breakfast. You will then be busy throughthe day, and the calories will get expended quickly. If you are trying todiet, eat a light dinner. Here are some more common health mistakes we make.Being informed and making a few changes can help make us feel a whole lot better.

High heels

High heels sure look great, but they’re murder for your back. This howeverdoesn’t mean you should steer clear of stilettos. Wear them, but not whenyou know you will be walking around a lot. Wear them when going out forlunch or dinner - when the only walking you will be doing is to your car, tothe table, and back. Avoid high heels when you are going somewhere on foot.If you are constantly tempted to wear your heels, take a good look at yourflats. Is there something about them you dislike? Invest in a new pair ofbeautiful flats or shoes with a low heel. Buy something you love, that youwill enjoy wearing. If possible, get a matching bag. You will then enjoyyour flats as much as you do your heels.

Sleeping on a soft bed

You don’t have to sleep on the floor be kind to your back, but do make sureyou have a firm mattress.. Although a mattress on springs is soft and lovelyto sink into, it’s bad for your back. If you already have an old bed withsprings, you don’t need to invest in a new one - simply get a thick woodenplank put over the springs, and place the mattress on the plank. Similarly, if your mattress is old and lumpy, throw it out and get a new one. Your neck and your back will thank you. The same rule applies to sofas. If you will be spending hours on a sofa, get a firm yet comfortable one. Sofas youcompletely sink into are not the best idea.

Pillows

No matter how comfortable sleeping with ten cushions is, have pity on yourneck and resist. Sleep with one pillow, and make sure it is not too thick. If your pillow gets lumpy, discard it and go for a new one. Get a thinpillow if you sleep on your stomach and something a little thicker if yousleep on your back, to give your neck adequate support.

Not exercising

So all of us know we should exercise more, but many of us don’t. This is ahealth mistake we consciously make! And why is that? Simply because werefuse to admit the damage we are causing to our bodies by not working out.A number of people only start working out once they’ve experienced a warningsignal. Don’t wait for a heart attack to strike before you decide to opt fora lifestyle change. Make the change now. You don’t need to train for themarathon to be in top shape. Half an hour of brisk walking three to fourtimes a week will make a world of difference to your health. You could thenincrease this to forty minutes, four times a week - and you’re all set. Ifyou haven’t exercised for a week, you’re making a mistake.

Monday Blues

The first thought that popped into my mind was: “Thank God it’s Monday!”

I was startled by my own thought. While the whole world is grumbling and groaning about Monday, unwilling to let go of lovely, lazy Sunday, here I was, chirping about the first working day of the week.

And why not? If it is Monday, it means the shops will be open, the government offices will function, the courier service will bring that much-awaited parcel. And life will move on full-speed. Isn’t that cause for jubilation?

Contemporary man is completely sold to the idea of the weekend and, therefore, horrified by the idea of working seven days a week. People drag themselves through workdays so they can relax in the evenings. They endure the week so they can have the weekend.

They work through the year so that they can go on leave at the end of the year. If we stretch the logic a little further, they put up with life so that they can relax in death.

Instead of justifying the need for a holiday, let us look at the quality of our working life.
Perhaps some Osho insights can help change the way we work.

The basic question is, do you enjoy your work?
Do you work wishing you could do something else? Is your work a necessary evil—to earn a living or to fulfil ambition?

1. What and how

What you do is not important, it is how you do it. Whatever you do, do it with deep alertness; then even small things become sacred. You can clean the floor like a robot; you have to clean it, so you clean it.

But it could have been a great experience; you missed it.
You cleaned the floor and that would have cleansed you. Clean the floor full of awareness; be luminous with awareness.

2. Remember yourself

One thing has to be a continuous thread: remember yourself.
While walking, say, “I am walking.” While sitting, say, “I am sitting.”
And feel the shift in your awareness. There will be a sudden spark.

3. Are you a perfectionist?

Beware! What counts is being total, not perfect. This brings out the best in you. The very idea of perfectionism drives people crazy.
The perfectionist is bound to be neurotic. S/he cannot enjoy life till s/he is perfect. And perfection never happens, it is not in the nature of things.

Life is imperfect. Only death is perfect. Totality is possible, perfection is not possible.
There is a huge difference between perfection and totality. Perfection is a goal for the future, totality is an experience now. If you can get into any act with your whole heart, you are total. Totality brings wholeness, health and sanity.

The perfectionist forgets about totality. There is a big gap between how s/he is and how s/he wants to be.
And, of course, change can’t happen now, it is always tomorrow or the day after. So life is postponed.

These are small tools, but they will help you see the gap between workdays and holidays decreasing. You will eagerly wait for work to begin.

And then you’ll also say: “Thank God it’s Monday!”

Imagery For High Performance Sports

IMAGINATION is one of the most powerful tools of human mind.

One of the easiest ways to avoid any distraction of pressure is to have a clear mental picture of what it is that you want to do.

We must understand that our mind does not distinguish what is real from what is imagined.

It simply reacts to the mental pictures you focus on.

Two ways to help you excel under pressure through imagination are:

1. Mental Rehearsal

2. The use of focal images

Seven factors among those who successfully build wealth

1. They live well below their means.
2. They allocate their time, energy and money efficiently, in ways conducive to building wealth.
3. They believe that financial independence is more important than displaying highsocial status.
4. Their parents did not provide economic outpatient care.
5. Their adult children are economically self-sufficient.
6. They are proficient in targeting market opportunities.
7. They chose the right occupation.

Positive Thinking and A Positive Attitude

We are what we think we are.
We are able to do what we think we are able to do.
We become what we think we will become.
We are not able to do what we think we are not able to do.
What I think and what I feel about myself and about my own abilities determines what I am able to do.
Positive thinking alone is not good enough.
It must be combined with positive action so much of what we do then becomes a question of right thinking and right attitude cum with right action.
